Before applying

Know the vendor requirements.

• Produce what you sell. We are a producers market. Vendors must grow, raise, catch, or make the products they offer.
• Stay within the market region. Products should be produced within 100 miles of the market, with limited exceptions such as seafood and Christmas trees.
• Meet food-safety requirements. Prepared-food vendors must provide the applicable kitchen inspection, health-department approval, and product-testing documentation.
• Carry liability insurance. Approved vendors must provide proof of general liability insurance and list the City of Sanford as an additional insured.
• Complete a site inspection. Before selling, approved vendors receive a production-site visit from the market manager.
